SocialAlertMe.com is a Social Network with a localised Missing Alert system.

How is the site funded...where did the money come from?

The site is fully funded by ourselves, we hope that local businesses will want to

support us with advertising and sponsorship as well as discretely placed adverts

as other sites and Social Networks have

How does the site work?

When you register you give your postal code.

This is used to enable the system to send you Missing Alerts from your area.

And there are mobile phone applications in the pipeline...

Yes, we are redisigning the site at the moment to fully create the Social Networking side around the Alert system, and as part of this Mobile applications will be released, so you can receive Alerts on the go. As with the site the applications are of course free.

How useful do you think this kind of system would have been in the Madeline McCann case...do you think it might have made a difference?

I think that if this system was in place and fully functional then of course it could have helped during the initial first few hours.  Just imagine all of the people in the surrounding 50 miles area being alerted with details and photgraph within minutes !

Tell us about the interest from Police forces...

We have had a few police forces show interest, and are in the later stages with one to fully implement the system. I fully expect and hope that all other UK forces will also want to join us in the near future.

How can we help....

You can help by joining the site firstly !. This way if any Child or adult does go missing near you, you will be notified and you never know, YOU might be in the right place at the right time !
